Quick/obvious wrt HF retouching

When i retouch a deep (300+ image) stack, I find it more accurate to go through the "source image" pane, and select the layer to use, versus using F9, which for some reason does not work well or accurately on my system.
Mousing/selecting one-by-one is cumbersome and super slow.
And a scroll wheel just scrolls the entire stack of source images, but does not select them.
SO....Question: What is the shortcut key, or keyboard technique, to individually scrub through the source images so they display when selected...so I can use that selected frame for retouching??
Neither <Page Up> nor <Page Down> work for me. They just move the entire image. Nor does any combination of <Shift> or <Ctrl> with <Page Up> or <Page Down>.
This sees like such an obvious thing--to let a user scrub thru source images using keystokes.
User error? What am I missing?
I'm running Win11 on my PC.

Which version of Helicon Focus are you using? The version number is in the window title at the top.

Page Up/Page Down very much do work for this. Maybe your keyboard requires pressing Fn to activate these keys?

im running HF 8.3.11
and yes...<Fn>+<Page Up/Down> is the key.
that works perfectly!
I'd tried multiple other combinations--except for that one.

Happy to help! You also said that F9 doesn't work accurately, but I assure you that it does select the exact image that contributed to the exact pixel under your mouse cursor. Which may not be the same image as 1 pixel or a couple pixels to the side, which is maybe what confused you.
