Moving flowers in foreground of wide angle landscapes
Moving flowers in foreground of wide angle landscapes
I have not had much success focus stacking ultra wide landscapes with flowers in the foreground. It seems there is always just enough wind to cause flower movement which then results in overlapping borders of flowers. Is there a way to have Helicon Focus pick moving objects from just one photo, like there is in Photomatix?

The easiest way is to use retouching brush to clone from one of the source images to the result image. This takes only a couple of rough strokes.
We experimented with antighosting methods, but usually they produce artifacts similar to ghosting itself. Photomatix has more information (3 frames with the same details), that is why it works there.
