EyeFi Card Conflict

Post by JohnD »

When I initially ran the Remote for Android software (registered version) I han no problems, however after adding an EyeFi card to my camera (Nikon D7000) and associated software to my Nexus7 the problems started. The camera sent the pictures to my Nexus (via EyeFi) and the Nexus relayed the images to my PC.This appears to have caused a conflict which results in 'Camera Communication Error' with the Helicon Remote software. After several weeks of trying I finally removed the EyeFi Card from the camera and removed the associated software from my Nexus7 and was gritified to find that all worked fine.Has anyone else had problems using EyeFi cards and has anyone been able to resolve this problem?

It would be interesting to see a bug report of this error. Also wonder whether it is the card or the software that caused the problem. Most likely - the card. Could you please check it?

I'll try to re-create the problem over the next day or so.The EyeFi card was added after I started using Remote for Android so I will start by simply using the card in camera without installing any software, then if all is ok I'll add the software to my Nexus7 and see what happens.
