Hi,
I was shooting last night in a castle ruin with starry sky, it was very dark and framing was very difficult. D600 live view was unhelpful. So i did soot preview to frame. I then noticed the following problem.
When you have a picture with dark/black border, its borders melts in the black border of the preview/review screen. So you're lost because you don't know if the black borders belong to the picture or to the preview/review screen.
So you don't have a correct view of the framing.
So I suggest a customisable background color / or the same as the live view barckground.
A minor change that will greatly help in night time photography

Re: Gray background in photo preview / review
Preview has the same gray background as live view, I've just double-checked it. So if it was black for you - that's a bug, but I can't reproduce it so far.
