Brightness setting LiveView and preview/review

Post by D600vince »

Hi,

Still extracting ideas of my latest experiment in deep night photography…

Just before total darkness you Liveview still works a bit, but the image is very very dark. To the point you can't "read" it. If we'd have a brightness control we would be able to pump the brightness artificially but that would suffice to frame, even is the image is horrible.

Yes you can do a long exposure and shot a preview, but it's not live, and live feedback is much better setting the framing.

Perhaps, Remote could even do a 4/2/1 frame per second live view, where it would cumulate the signal from live view (I had a camcorder in my youth that did this). But it's probably not possible.

Having brightness control in preview/reviw image will also help because it can help you for the framing without having to change the camera settings or check a particular scene feature quickly (without havingto reshoot which can be long). That's a productivity boost in the workflow

We already have this on our to-do list, hopefully we'll get to it sooner rather than later but no promises on how soon.
