Re: A couple of newbie questions

Thank you.

The project I sent you had more retouching done, so it took about 40 minutes to open.

Are there setting that you would suggest that would have resulted in less need for retouching?

I uploaded 3 zip files. Does the link you provided identify me as the source?

If you need it, the following is the paths of the files:

Re: A couple of newbie questions

I only have the one project currently. What would be the method of giving you the project to study?

A couple of newbie questions

My first question is, what is the purpose of the "DPI in the output image" setting in preferences? Whether I set it to 300 or 600, my tif has the same 607.9 MB file size and 11622x8716 dimensions, but the resolution does change from 300x300 to 600x600 accordingly. Is it for instructing the printer ...

Making use of 21:9 wide format monitors

I am considering getting the Dell U4025QW 40 inch 21:9 wide format monitor. When retouching, a thumbnail of the image is in a section that runs along the bottom of the screen. Is it possible to move that to the left side of the screen in order to have more of the image visible vertically, or move it ...

Re: Can Helicon Focus find series of focus brackets?

I loaded my files into the batch processor and perfumed the split. After discarding the single file stacks, I was left with 92 stacks. I was hoping to use this tool to identify which of my fff files belong together and not to render all 92 stacks. Once the split function finishes, I don't see what ...

Re: Can Helicon Focus find series of focus brackets?

I do not use Adobe and I want to maintain Hasselblads colors. My understanding is that the only way to maintain the colors is to convert to tif before handing the files over to anothe software.

Re: Can Helicon Focus find series of focus brackets?

Thank you for the reply. I have not downloaded the software yet. I'll try to do that today. I believe I will need to convert my fff files to tif before stacking. Can Helicon sort fff files into groups for stacking? Would I need to load all of my fff files into Helicon in order to sort them? There ...

Can Helicon Focus find series of focus brackets?

Hello all, this is my first post.

Can Helicon Focus search my folder for focus bracket shots that belong together. I did a lot of focus bracketing with a new Hasselblad X2D 100C and discovered afterwards that the camera does not identify the series in any way. Can the software possibly look in the ...
