How do I get finished images to return to Lightroom?
I'm new to Helicon and have only tried a few times but I can't get my image to return to Lr, I used export to Helicon to import them in, just can't get the result back, any help gratefully received.

After rendering your stack you should save the result and exit Helicon Focus. The result image(s) will be imported back automatically. It's likely that it was imported but you're looking for it in the wrong place in the Lightroom catalog.

I have saved every time after render and then go to exit and a box pops up saying ' Some results are not saved. Exit without saving?' Lr is still showing the export/import is incomplete which saving option should I choose? I'm only using the trial version, would this make a difference?

No, the license has nothing to do with this.
Did you press "Render" more than once, producing more than one result? Either you have saved one result but there were more, or you had one and it wasn't saved. Either way, the export process in Lightroom finishes when Helicon Focus exits, did you actually exit it? Is it Mac or PC?

Yes, I followed the procedure. I have attached two photos to show what message I get and also the save option I'm offered, I chose the top one. Am I saving in the correct place? I am using Mac M1 chip, also non of the help (?) buttons work! should I do a reinstall as the programme isn't working properly? I am able to see the export option in Lr for sending to Helicon in both DNG and Tiff, I am sending Tiff.Catherine wrote: 17.06.2023 00:56 No, the license has nothing to do with this.

The "Save" and "Save all" are the correct options. You didn't mention the "Helicon Focus didn't return a result" message - this narrows the problem down, but still it's an anomaly and shouldn't happen. Please run an export again, save the result (Cmd + S keyboard shortcut is the fastest way) and then, before exiting Helicon Focus, send a bug report (menu - Help - Contact support).
Which of the (?) buttons do not work? I've tried a couple and they all worked on Mac. They won't work if you have no default web browser set up, but I don't know if it's even possible on Mac to not have one.

Re: How do I get finished images to return to Lightroom?
I have been trying again today. Yesterday, when I saved it, wouldn't return to Lr but would save to file and I got the message "Helicon Focus didn't return a result" Screenshot is attached below. Today I imported images and after I saved I got the message 'Exit Helicon when you are done working with it in order for Lr to import the rendering result'. This was a new message so I exited and I saw it returned to Lr and was sitting next to the imported images in their file, so that seems to have resolved. The two help buttons still don't work, I have attached two screenshots to locate them. I have google chrome set as my default browser but I can to Safari if that will helpCatherine wrote: 17.06.2023 12:04 The "Save" and "Save all" are the correct options. Re: How do I get finished images to return to Lightroom?
Happy to hear the export issue is resolved.
The "Exit Helicon Focus..." reminder should be displayed every time when you do an export and save the result. The fact that it wasn't displayed and Lightroom didn't see the result are probably related, but we have no idea what was going on there. If the saving process got stuck, then Helicon Focus shouldn't have just exited. Very odd.
