Re: Canon Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 compatible with Remote on iPad?

Buying a W-E1 is certainly not a problem. The problem is that we don't have any body compatible with it, and no other incentive to buy one other than for W-E1. We're currently focused on the new version of Helicon Remote with support for new cameras, but also we've already fixed a couple issues with...

Re: Strange pattern in rendered DNG file

We've managed to reproduce the problem, but we need a bit more time to understand if the problem is about Helicon Focus or about Lightroom. We are investigating this further and will let you know about our findings and solutions

Re: Exposure alignment

It's hard to say without checking the original stack. If it's possible for you provide it for us to have a closer look at it, you are welcome to contact us at support@heliconsoft.com

Re: Upgrade to 7.6.3 rendering keeps failing

Please try Fail safe mode: HF menu->Edit->Preferences->Performance tab: check the Fail safe mode option.

But 4GB GPU may not be sufficient for full-res D850 files.

Re: How to determine the optimal interval size

Hello, and thanks for sharing your results! I have established that each step in Helicon Remote corresponds to an approximately 0.1mm advance of the rail system This value is configurable in Helicon Remote preferences - Stackshot, by default it's 0.05 mm. Using Method B of Helicon Focus you can see ...

Re: Stacking Issues

Sorry for the late reply. Let's recap: the problem is that during set-up everything works correctly and focus responds to the <<<, <<, < / >, >>, >>> buttons properly, but when shooting the stack not all focus adjustments are being made properly, is that a correct description of the issue? Take your...

Re: DNG export from Lightroom not working as expected

Yes, Lightroom does not apply edits to the image data when exporting raw images, be it DNG or the originals (RAF in your case). The only way (that I know of) to force Lightroom to apply the adjustments is to export as TIFF. Generally, if your edit your images and then export them as raw (e. g. DNG),...

Re: OpenCL / GPU support plans

Will these mobile GPUs be supported or are they already supported? The current support list shows only "NVidia 9xx, 10xx, 20xx series". All of these are already supported. You can check for GPU compatibility by entering the model name in the search field on this page . If this GPU is found in our d...

Re: helicon remote vs stackshot controller for deep stacks?

This is not a problem I recognize. If Stackshot is detected by Helicon Remote and ticked with a check mark, as you've said it is, it should move. Please reprorduce the problem (connect everything up and turn it on, make sure Stackshot is ticked in Helicon Remote, press either of the <<< / >>> button...

Re: Artefacts in output file

These artifacts seem to be coming from hot pixels on the source images that turn into this kind of pixel streaks on the output during processing. In order to check for the source of these streaks, please render the stack, zoom into the area with the artifact on the output, with high magnification, s...

Thank you for reporting a problem. We did manage to reproduce it. Solving this issue will take some time and effort, but we're aware of it, we have it on our to-do list and we are working to fix it. We'll post an update once the fix is ready
